JOB OVERVIEW:

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with the preparation and distribution of all necessary financial reports and producing accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with the policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews and analyzes a variety of accounting transactions involving State, Federal, Community funded programs and other funding sources.
Ensures transactions are recorded properly, are debited/credited to the appropriate source, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Assists with the preparation, maintenance and monitoring of WRFCHC accounting functions, including budget and payment activities, invoicing, financial reporting, communications with vendors, reconciliations and re-budgeting, financial status reports for each department of the WRFCHC system, final invoices, purchase order liquidations, and final reporting.
Aid in analyzing complex financial data and preparing accurate records and reports.
Manage purchasing card transactions through an external credit card management system.
Proofread and reconcile all accounting records to check for arithmetical accuracy, completeness and compliance of regulations.
Establishes and maintains accurate confidential records and files and communicates effectively both verbally and in written form under the stress of strict deadlines.
Gathers and prepares data and documents for a variety of financial reports.
Maintains appropriately filed documents for easy retrieval, report processing and for audit purposes.
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or equivalency, along with any supporting certifications such as BLS and other necessary competencies (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, PALS, etc.).
Mandated training and certification in the US DOJ Financial Management training

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The QIPS collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management:

Develop, implement, and evaluate the organizational infection prevention program.
Surveillance
Develop an annual surveillance plan based on the population(s) served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct surveillance and investigations.
Evaluate and modify the surveillance plan as necessary.
Develop, interpret, and assist with implementation of infection prevention and control policies and protocols.
Communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various committees and healthcare workers across the organization as assigned.

Design and Deliver Education

Assess and address learning needs of those served.
Create educational goals, objectives, and strategies using learning principles and available educational tools and technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an associates or bachelor’s degree in nursing with a valid and active RN license.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required within six months of hire, or when qualified to take the examination.
A minimum of three (3) years of acute care/infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience.
Experience with basic statistics and epidemiological principles.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides 24-hour on-site monitoring services to support outreach, safety, and management of the Shelter.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process new clients, give orientation to the rules of shelter, complete intake application, file alphabetically, add clients to the Google spreadsheet, make appointments for new clients for medical physicals.
Deep cleans each trailer after clients are discharged or as necessary.
Verifies inventory levels and prevents inventory gaps for item such as Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.
Provides appropriate oversight of the client’s stay and enforces rules of the shelter.
Transports clients to and from the shelter for medical appointments as necessary
Writes and reports all incidents and maintenance issues to the Shelter Supervisor.
Submits Work Order Maintenance Requests as needed.
Provides de-escalation techniques to clients as needed and to ensure safety.
Monitors the clients, trailers, and grounds of the Shelter and ensure the safety and security of each client on the premise.
Writes all observations in daily Turnover Notes.
Must be able to conduct security searches in the event Security is not present.
Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Family Advocate will work directly with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, mass violence and other types of victimization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop or maintain case plans for each family assigned.
Offer services and referrals from community partners, coordinating and accompanying victims and families to medical exams and court, attending any meetings the victims or family may request advocate support at and acting as a liaison between members of the MDT and child victims and their family.
Work with partner agencies to refer families to additional services as deemed appropriate, such as housing, healthcare, counseling, and educational resources.
Ensure that all assigned individuals or families receive equitable services through case coordination, direct victim services, and by educating partner agencies on evidence based, best practices when working with families in crisis.
Track and maintain all records of interactions and services provided by all involved agencies for each individual being assisted.
Communicate across systems to effectively coordinate services between WRFCHCS and entities serving the Wind River Reservation as pertaining to victims.
Work under stressful situations and must be highly motivated to ensure that the highest possible quality of care to all victims regardless of age, sex, or sexual identity.
Educate community members on the topic of child abuse and victimization to include courses, classes, training, and any other events when invited to speak on the topic with supervisor approval.
Complete 40 hours of Victim Assistance Training and 8 hours of additional training every 2 years.
General phone skills, office equipment, and computer skills are required.
Other duties as assigned to maintain/enhance the operation of the Victim Services department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in the victim advocacy or social services field. TVS will also take into consideration life experiences and/or years of experience.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred.
Requires knowledge of principles and practices of childhood trauma, social work and integrated systems approaches to health care delivery.
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under WRFCHC’s insurance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This work involves working with persons in crisis and their non-offending family members whose behavior may be unpredictable. The day-to-day workload will be conducted Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. However, on-call evening and weekend hours may also be required as well as possible evening training/meetings for improved survivor access.
Family advocates may be scheduled and stationed at the various WRFCHCS locations to increase accessibility for victims and decrease response time when a crisis occurs. Advocates may be stationed at Ethete Clinic, Arapaho Clinic, 12th Street Clinic, the Assessment Center, and/or Family Justice Center.

JOB SUMMARY:

Dialysis Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Once on-the-job training is complete, in addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Dialysis Nurses include (but are not limited to):

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts pre-dialysis patient assessment including obtaining patient vital signs and assessing the patient’s vascular access, laboratory findings, and the patient’s general health
Oversees Nephrology Technicians in the performance of dialysis from start to finish, monitors patient reaction to treatment, blood pressure and performance of the dialysis machines every 30 minutes and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the mechanics of dialysis.
Reviews physician orders for dialysis patients, collects pre-treatment dialysis data, and reviews patient records prior to dialysis treatments.
Reviews physician orders from the Nephrologists as appropriate and administers dialysis related intra-venous and/or oral medications as prescribed and/or per protocol.
Verifies that patients are taking all prescribed medications and performs medication reconciliation.
Documents findings of patient’s assessments and interventions and advise Nephrologist of any significant change in the patient’s condition and other pertinent information
Performs other treatments and diagnostic tests such as blood sugar testing and other tests required as part of patient treatment.
Responds appropriately and provides assistance in emergency situations.
Continually functions as a patient educator. Provides patient education/teaching applicable to the patient’ s medical condition.
Conducts post dialysis assessment and patient discharge by evaluating treatment, documenting medication administration utilizing the appropriate protocols, assessing condition of vascular access, discharging the patient when vital signs are stable, and documenting and recording patient treatment data.
Discusses patient concerns and answers questions relevant to care.
Assesses, prepares, and cannulates a patient’ s vascular access (including needle insertion in arteriovenous fistula or grafts for aseptic connection with dialysis equipment).
Utilizes sterile techniques to assess the dialysis catheter exit site and to apply dressing on the patient’ s vascular access (dialysis catheter, arteriovenous access) per protocols.
Confirms acceptable water quality prior to beginning dialysis treatments. Cleans and disinfects dialysis equipment before and after each treatment.
Oversees disassembly and disinfection of dialysis equipment before and after each treatment. Disposes of biohazardous waste in accordance with policy & procedure
Maintains equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations. Labels and/or removes defective equipment from the treatment area and arranges for repair.
Performs surveillance and testing of dialysis water treatment equipment and dialysis water (such as chlorine, hardness, conductivity, water cultures) to ensure that these machines are operating within the parameters set in the facility’s written protocols.
Assures that machine alarms are functional prior to dialysis treatments.
Oversees the preparation of the delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer and confirms that all mandatory alarm tests on the dialyzer and equipment are performed. Performs dialyzer reuse according to facility standards, if applicable.
Utilizes supplies efficiently to contain costs. Documents charges and services and/or credits supplies accurately.
Completes an incident report following any unusual occurrence that could have implications for risk management.
Cooperates with the End Stage Renal Disease Network 15 goal to collect data.
Refers patients to other disciplines or services as needed (Dietitian, Renal Social Worker, etc.).
Provides leadership in improving patient care, maintaining standards of care, directing and teaching personnel in a variety of settings, and providing charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
Participates in quality improvement activities to include collection of data for the dialysis unit
Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan. Works closely with others on the dialysis team and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree in nursing with a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Wyoming.
Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Wyoming.
One year of nursing experience in any field.
Must have Basic Life Support Certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have knowledge through training or experience in performing patient care activities for adult and geriatric patients.
Required to possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Tribe’s vehicle insurance plan.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Act and the Wyoming DFS Central Registry.

Once on-the-job training is completed:

Must be able to perform surveillance on dialysis access (catheter, fistula, graft) for early signs of failure or infection; this includes (if needed and after receiving the appropriate training) the ability to perform arteriovenous access monitoring using ultrasound machine per protocol.
Must be able to do regional heparinization, separate and store blood samples, set up oxygen, administer saline, and maintain dialysis equipment.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of dialysis laboratory tests and dialysis medications.
Must demonstrate in-depth understanding of infection control and prevention of transmission of blood borne pathogens.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, percentages, and decimals.

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physically strong and able to work on their feet for long periods of time.
Must be able to withstand the stresses and demands of the position
Frequent exposure to conditions common to a medical/clinical facility, such as exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assisting with weights of more than one hundred (100) pounds.

Resolves vendor and department problems regarding purchase orders by contacting the vendor and providing additional requested information, verifying the invoices for purchase orders, confirming delivery dates, correcting other discrepancies, verifying the status of purchase orders for departments, and assisting in identifying unknown shipments that are delivered to the Receiving Dock.
Provides requested information regarding vendors and/or purchases by performing price comparison, specifications, and delivery dates to assist in determining the best bid, track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders, and calculate relevant costs.

The Nephrology technician provides safe and acceptable dialysis under the supervision of a registered nurse. communicates with patients, families, and the health care team to provide services according to the patient care plan.

Performs basic patient care activities.
Observes patients and reports unusual conditions and/or reactions to RN.
Obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis as required to complete physician orders.
Perform duties at all times under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Use appropriate safety measures including personal protective equipment as necessary.
Clean, disinfect, and rinse dialysis machines in accordance with policy and procedures.
Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments.

Safely initiate and terminate dialysis treatments per center protocol, and within scope of practice and as allowed by state regulations.
Monitor patients during dialysis treatments.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provides vision services, eye care education and counseling to patients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in organizational meetings to develop new, modify exiting and evaluate medical procedures relative to patient care with objective of constantly improving and increasing the degree of patient care given to clients.
Basic optometry duties include examine eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, etc.
Treat visual disorders through prescription of corrective lenses such as glasses, contact lenses or low vision aids, vision therapy, pharmacological means; treats unusual visual disorders through application of advance optometric techniques; consult and refer patients to other health care practitioners if additional treatment is necessary.
Coordinates care and coverage of three optometry offices (Arapaho, Riverton, and Ethete).
Make appropriate referrals to other specialist or services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSILITIES:

Will also oversee designing and implementing a high-quality optical department across the three clinics; as well as, implementing services utilizing the future mobile optometry staff and set policy and standards for the optometry department.
Maintain scheduling and timesheets of optometrists and ancillary optometry staff and set policy and standards for the optometry department.
Oversees the daily workflow of the Optometry department.
Conducts performance evaluations for the Optometry staff that are timely and constructive.

Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis, as assigned; conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, stool, and other samples.
Draws blood from patients that are referred to the Laboratory.
Performs quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy.
Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards.
Keeps records and reports on results according to established procedures.
Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
Currently registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, (ASCP), MLS, AMT, HEW, or CLS. If new graduate, must obtain within 60 days of hire.
One year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Current BLS Certification or must be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.

JOB SUMMARY:

Functions as a member of the clinical team, assessing nutritional needs of WRFCHC patients. This includes, but is not limited to planning, coordinating, and evaluating the nutritional component of health care services for specific comorbidities and throughout the life span.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works independently and in collaboration with WRFCHC medical team(s) and community outreach programs.
Conducts nutritional assessment and provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) based on disease process, using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP). Disease processes may include but are not limited to prediabetes, diabetes, gestational diabetes, diabetes during pregnancy, adult obesity, childhood obesity, malnutrition, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Provides diabetes nutrition counseling/education to the patients and their families that are consistent with cultural, social, and physiological requirements.
Works with the diabetes educator/coordinator for each facility in coordinating services aimed at reducing the incidence of diabetes, assists in maintaining the diabetes registry assuring all data is current and accurate, analyzes and interprets diabetes data, compiles diabetes-related reports including diabetes audit and cost and care report.
Responsible for educating diabetic patients about disease, process, management, complications, and treatment using the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES).
Assist the diabetes educator/coordinator in coordinating all preventive care for the diabetic patients, including, but not limited to annual labs, EKG, retinal eye exams, dental exams, etc.
Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify the supervisor or primary care provider (PCP) of the patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents of in-person visits.
Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the PCP including patient and family instruction.
Participates in department or WRFCHC quality improvement activities as needed.
Keep up with or contribute to the latest food and nutritional science research.
Other duties as assigned to maintain/enhance the operation of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science. The curriculum must have been in accordance with ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics)
Must be licensed by the Wyoming Dietetics Licensing Board
Knowledge of food service management, food sanitation and safety.
Knowledge of current federal regulations that govern programs with a nutrition component to provide consultation to Native American groups.
Must be culturally sensitive to the Native American population.
Knowledge and ability to provide nutrition therapy care to a specific age of the patients served.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
Current BLS Certification or must be able to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
